Trusting God With Your Life

by Admin

Transcript:

The ultimate faith is trusting God with your life. Not for stuff and
things, but with your life. That’s what it’s all about, and when we look in
that scripture, in Hebrews Chapter 11, the Hebrews hall of fame, there were
some great exploits taking place, and even in the word of God tells us be
not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your
mind. So let’s not take away the world things. In the world, in order to be
inducted into the hall of fame, you have to have more home runs, stolen
bases, strikeouts, touchdowns, rushing yards, and so forth. You have to
have all these exploits and accomplishments and achievements to win the
Grammy, to win the Oscars, and so forth. You have to have all these
monumental events have taken place right at your hand. However, in the
things of God, it’s trusting God with your life, because you’re not going
to necessarily always attain those status or receive those achievements and
accomplishments, but that you trust God with your life.

That’s why I love in Hebrews 11, around verses 34 or 35, after Samson and
David and Jephta going into the lion’s den and the lions then den eat
Daniel, and the Hebrew boys and the fiery furnace and Moses and all the
things that took place, and Abraham’s life, those were great things that
took place. However, around verses 35, 36, it says that then there were
others. So there were others in the hall of fame too, and it says they were
tortured, sawn into, not accepting deliverance. It said that they endured
trials, mockings, and scorging. They hung about, they lived in dens and
caves, and they wore goat skins and so forth. So they didn’t have three-
piece suits. They didn’t have a jet, they didn’t have limousines, they
didn’t have all the diamonds and jewelry and all that. They didn’t have the
best of everything, but they trusted God with their life. So that was their
testimony, and they were in the hall of fame also. That’s what we need to
see.

The ultimate faith is trusting God with your life, not for stuff, not to
get over or out of a dilemma, but that you trust God, that you fight tooth
and nail to the very end trusting God with your life, or were you just
trusting for stuff all of your life. Don’t get the cart before the horse.
It’s trusting God with your life. So again, many did not attain to certain
statuses, however they’re in the Hebrew’s hall of fame because they trusted
God with their life, and that’s what we need to continue to know and
understand.

Is the Christian walk hard?

by Admin

Anything is hard when the proper fundamentals are not applied. Anything is hard when the wrong tools are applied. Anything can be hard when the instruction manual is not utilized. A young man once said, “it’s hard being a Christian”. It was only hard for him because he didn’t live according to the instructions, which is the word of God. God’s word works. The word of God will stabilize emotions, eliminate worry, reconcile relationships, bring physical healing, help refrain from sin and prosper anyone if they only use proper application. Hearers of the word and not doers are only deceiving themselves. One can read the bible, commit it to memory verbatim, yet not apply it and never benefit from it. The walk is only hard when one is not serious. Find a solid “Word” teaching ministry, where the purpose is to grow in the grace and knowledge of God. Find a ministry that has the purpose of being conformed to the image and likeness of Christ. Don’t look for won’t help when your child is stricken, or your spouse hurt you, or your car blows a head gasket. You need information. The walk is not hard when you have information and daily use the application thereof…… It’s a wonderful life……..peace

The Preacher Never Got Them Saved

by Admin

I’ve attended more than enough “home going celebrations” also known as funeral services. I’ve seen hundreds who never went to church and were not saved prior to coming to the service. After all of the aspects of the service were completed, the preacher talked about salvation but never gave a direct invitation to the people to give their life to Jesus. What a missed opportunity! Some people won’t ever go to church and hear any of the gospel except at a friend or loved one’s home going service. I make this appeal to every minister of the gospel who ever officiates the service of a deceased one. Please, have them repeat the confession of Romans 10:9, or have them stand up and boldly proclaim Jesus as their Lord or pray with you to receive Christ. Ministers must be bold and courageous; some of the attendants will never come to church again, will die and perish without Christ.

We’re Not Sinners

by Admin

Have you ever heard the statement, “we’re just sinners, saved by grace”?  To be scripturally correct, we ‘were’ sinners and we ‘were’ saved by grace. After having been born again, we became saints of the Most High God. We can’t be two extremes at the same time. Once the sinful Adamic nature is replaced with the holy nature of God, we are no longer sinners. Sinners sin because they have to, it’s their nature. Christians sin because they want to. Often they give in to the dictates of the flesh or their soul’s ambitions. However we now have a holy nature. You have whatever you say. If one keeps seeing and referring to him/herself as a sinner, they’ll probably keep living a life of sin. God never called us sinners after our salvation experience. When reading the Pauline epistles, he addressed his letters to the “saints at Corinth, the saints at Ephesus, the saints at Philippi and the saints at Colossae.”  It is not prideful nor arrogance to agree with what God called us, it is faith. God also called us a kingdom of priests, a royal priesthood, a chosen generation, a holy nation, His own special treasure, a peculiar people, brought from darkness into His marvelous light. Go Saints, We Win!

God Never Said…….

by Admin

God never said you’re sick, but He said ‘by His stripes you’re healed”. God never said, ‘it’s flu season and you need Nyquil. God never said, ‘it’s allergy season and you need Claritin. God never said you have a headache, a cold or a bad back. God never said you have diabetes. This is not denial, but it prohibits faith from working when you continue confessing it. Only say the doctors diagnosed me as having…God never said, “it’s a bad day ‘or stormy Monday, and your bed doesn’t have any wrong sides. God never said, “you’re broke”, “but let the poor say I am rich”. God never said, “you’re weak’, “but let the weak say I am strong’. God never said, “your kids are driving you nuts”, you’re letting them do it. God never said successful marriage has anything to do with astrological signs or compatibility; it’s a heart condition. God never said, “You’re not smart enough, strong enough, attractive enough”. God never said, “2008 was great, 2009 was fine or we win in 2010. Since the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus, we have been in the year of Jubilee (the favorable year). Every year is great in the Lord. God never said, “you have a bad heart, bad feet, bad teeth, bad gums, bad eyesight, bad kids or bad marriage”, so stop saying it. Agree with God’s word and not what “they” or the doctor says……….peace

Who Really Has Their Leaders’ Back?

by Admin

So many believers have told their pastors or ministry leaders, “I have your back”, implying I will protect you and help you advance our cause. The unfortunate thing is that this statement often only pertains to physical protection. There are a plethora of derogatory terms for a Christian, but one of the worst is “hypocrite”. It’s hypocritical for one to say I’m for the team, the department, or the ministry, then do things that make the whole organization suspect. Successful ministry or business requires a total team effort. Every player must be mindful of what they say or do at all times. When one has their leader’s back, their ministry’s back, their supervisor’s or their pastor’s back, everything they do will bring positive reflections. When we have our leader’s back, we all must represent to the utmost degree and level of excellence. If there is no excellence morally, verbally, financially, etcetera, that person can’t be trusted. One of the best things an employee can do for their supervisor is make them look good. If not, you get fired.

False Hopes and Itching Ears

by Admin

Transcript:

I just want to talk about the false hopes and itching ears. And when I
talking about false hopes, I’m primarily pertaining to a lot of messages
that give a lot of God’s people false hopes. You know, when you hear,
“God’s getting ready to bless you. This is your year. God is getting ready
to do this, he’s getting ready to do that and full of it,” a lot of those
messages are just a lot of false hopes, hot air.

The word of God says that if you be willing and obedient, you’ll find that
in Isaiah Chapter 1, willing and obedient you’ll eat the good of the lamb.
Psalm 84 says that: “He will not withhold any good thing from them that
walk upright before him.” So those are passages that let us know that
things are contingent, and if we just simply know that we are already
blessed with Abraham, we’re blessed and highly favored, them that be of
faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Them that be of Jesus Christ are
the same as the children of Abraham.

So we’re already blessed, and when Jesus came, when the scripture refers to
the favorable year of the Lord, we’re in the favorable year. We’re in the
Year of Jubilee. So we don’t have to come up with rhymes every year. 2008
is going to be great. 2009, like what was wrong with the previous year?
There’s nothing wrong with any of the years. A number doesn’t determine,
and I’m not saying God can’t give you a word at the beginning of the year.
But a lot of times, people use that as if now things are getting ready to
happen. But if you just walk by faith and just trust God at his word, you
can stand and know that his promise is a yea and amen anyway.

So he has you covered. He has your back. We are in the Year of Jubilee, the
Year of the Lord. Today is your day. Tomorrow is your day. This year is
your year. Next year is your year. So you don’t have to be having the
itching ears for these swelling messages. Everybody’s waving their
handkerchiefs and cheering the message on. As of now, it’s getting ready to
happen because they said it.

God already said it. It’s already in the cannon of scriptures. Just trust
him at his word. We already have the blessing. He’s with us. He’s for us.
Who would dare be against us?

Today is your day. Tomorrow is your day. This year is your year. Last year
was your year. Just trust God. What about faith? You’ll see everything come
to pass in your life.

So watch out for the false hopes and the itching ears.

Every Believer Should Belong To A Local Fellowship

by Admin

So many believers think it’s ok not belonging to any local assembly. Some say, “I can stay home and read and pray on my own”. Some say, “they’re not right down there anyway”, and other excuses. Yet scripture clearly states in Psalm 68, that God sets the solitary in families. This implies everyone needs to belong somewhere. In Isaiah 4:5,6 is a type and shadow of the church, saying there’s a covering (protection), an anointing over the assemblies (congregations), signifying by this we have protection from the heat and the storms of life. For when every part does its share, all of the needs are met. It was also stated in Psalm 68 that the rebellious dwell in a dry land. A dry land is where you’re on your own. Case and point; when your mother is laid up dying of cancer, if you don’t belong anywhere, nor does she, who knows? Who cares? Nobody even knew she was in the hospital. Oh, so you give to your favorite TV minister, well he’s 2,000 miles away. He has his own members who are first priority; call him and see if he’ll fly out on his private jet to see you. Psalm 133 says, “how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…..there is where the Lord commands the blessing”, not at home watching TV in your easy chair. Also consider why God would send Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers if He was going to give you the understanding, leadership and insight He gave them. Their responsibility is to equip the saints for work of ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ. Trust me, some ministers are fake. Some local facilities would be better off shut down. But there are a plethora of fellowships one can join and be very instrumental in helping to advance the kingdom. Humble yourself and see where you can plug in and be of some help……………..peace

Why Do Folks Change After Marriage?

by Admin

Don’t ask me! But I will suggest that we must continue to love and encourage one another. Often times a spouse will have unrealistic expectations of the other. This is a set-up for utter disappointment. We fall in love and think nothing but the best thoughts of each other, then the novelty wears off. For any marriage to be successful, the partners must allow their spouse to be free to express themselves. Your home is the one place where all is well to do. When a spouse walks on eggshells attempting to ask a question or raise a topic it is apparent that some judgment, condemnation or correcting has been prevalent. You’re married! Let your spouse say what they want, and how they best can express it. You weren’t Mr. and Ms. Corrector while dating, what makes anyone think they need to change their spouse after years of marriage. Don’t expect your spouse to do what’s not in their make-up to do. Never condemn or discourage, only encourage. Communication is so much smoother when spouses learn to adapt, adjust and consider the other before his or herself. Wives often try to make their husbands be like them and vice-versa. It won’t work. In this case I submit, as the Isley Brothers sang, “Hello It’s Me……..Don’t Change, Don’t Change”

Just Saying Thanks

Naked Spouses

by Admin

Can your spouse be naked with you? Can he or she share secrets or serious personal issues without feeling ashamed? In Genesis 2:25, Adam and Eve were naked and were not ashamed. This is God’s ideal situation for marriage. Many spouses hold their loved one’s past against them instead of helping to heal or treat it. Everyone comes with a degree of baggage, but there is no greater level of liberty than to be able to be naked and open without reservation. God said, “Judge not, lest you be judged”. No one has a right to condemn a person for their lot in life. This is one reason for the escalating cases of adultery. Everyone wants to be free to share and not have to hold back for fear of judgment. Usually the person on the outside is willing to listen and understand where the spouse at home has made judgmental accusations. If spouses have to walk as if on eggshells at home of all places, that relationship is in trouble. Hebrews 4:13 says, “All things are naked and open before Him to whom we must give account”. One reason for our intimacy with God is because He knows all about us, doesn’t judge us, and yet still loves us unconditionally. Marriage becomes much more intimate when spouses allow each other to be naked and open, and still appreciated. Accept your spouses’ flaws. Let them be themselves freely without being “spouse conscious”.

Image and Likeness

by Admin

Transcript:

The ultimate goal is the image and likeness of Christ, and that’s what we
should all be striving for. A lot of Christians strive for money, fame,
acclaim, status, material things, and so forth, but the ultimate goal is
the image and likeness of Christ.

Sometimes people are not happy because they don’t have a man, a woman.
They’re not happy because they don’t have a big house, they don’t have the
great car, the luxurious car and so forth, and people are not happy and not
content. But not knowing that your ultimate goal anyway was striving for
the image and likeness of Christ. We want Jesus to be fully formed in us,
and we are to capitalize on every opportunity to allow ourselves to grow.
Those are all the attributes of the Father and the Holy Spirit. That love,
unconditional, the peace that surpasses all of understanding, the joy
that’s inexpressible and full of glory, that’s what it’s all about.

So the Scripture tells us: “If you want to come after me,” Jesus said,
“deny yourself, take up the cross and follow Me.” Paul said, “I die daily.”
Scripture in Galatians 2:20 says, “We have been crucified with Christ. It
is no longer us who live, but Christ lives in us. Colossians 1:27, “Is
Christ in you?” The only hope of glory. That is what it’s all about. Romans
8:29 says: “For whom he foreknew, he also predestined.” That we will be
conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, God’s son, and that is
what it’s all about. The image and likeness of Christ, and I just want to
encourage you. Don’t be pressing and striving towards the carrot that
you’ll never catch up with. Allow every opportunity a moment to grow.

So when people hurt you, forgive them. It develops love. When people are
frantic, panicking, anxious and everything, just go ahead and exercise your
peace. That surpasses all understanding. When folks are all depressed about
what’s going on around the world, you let your joy that’s inexpressible and
full of glory, let it rise up, because that’s the Christ in you. So what
we’re trying to do is to just grow into the image and likeness of Christ.
We want Jesus fully formed in us, and that’s what this whole walk is about.
So keep pressing toward that mark. The upper goal is not a material thing,
it’s not a financial goal, it’s not a social status, occupational status
and so forth. It’s the image and likeness of Christ. That’s the ultimate
goal, so that’s where you want to grow to.

What Makes A Prayer Request

by Admin

People sure can be mean, vicious and evil; especially Christians. Only God knows the motive on an individual’s heart. Every man thinks he’s right in his own eyes until proven erroneous. When a believer disagrees with something said, one shouldn’t label the person in any derogatory term. Just consider him/her a prayer request. That’s how Christians handle differences. Either go to the person and ask to share to give better understanding or just intercede for them. We all have different views and degrees of revelation on various subjects. We also only know in part (1Cor. 13), nobody has a full grasp on the entirety of God’s word, in particular. Mankind in general uses only 2 to 5 percent of his mental capacity. It is stated that Einstein, a genius, was known to use only 7 to 10 percent of his mental capacity. Some of us don’t use any, lol. Anyway, the next time you disagree or have a difference with a brother or sister in Christ, consider it a prayer request. God will either change you, them or He’ll change the situation. I’ve noticed some of my blogs got people going nuts. Pray for your brother, I need Jesus bad.  Aint nothin’ that deep…………..peace
